1. Wenn beim Bau eines Hauses der höchste Punkt erreicht ist und die Dachpfannen gelegt werden können, ist es in den Niederlanden üblich, dass der Bauherr den Bauarbeitern ein sogenanntes Pfannenbier spendiert, um das zu feiern. Es wird dabei eine Fahne am First des Hauses befestigt. Ist der Bauherr zum Spendieren zu geizig, dann wird keine Fahne, sondern ein Besen angebracht.
